 With the New Hampshire state courts on lockdown until at least May 4 and offices forced to close in light of the coronavirus pandemic, Cohen and Winters are well-positioned to continue working remotely.


While the phones are staffed during regular hours, their team of lawyers are also available for telephone or video conference meetings with both current and potential clients.


 "Our attorneys and support staff will remain in regular communication with clients and other relevant parties," said Mr Winters. "We will be able to continue providing all necessary legal services to the same standard you have come to know and expect."


 Cohen and Winters have more than 25 years of legal experience between them and have represented thousands of clients in cases ranging from disorderly conduct to murder.


 They have also successfully represented many drivers appearing before the New Hampshire Division of Motor Vehicles, negotiating in their clients' favor and helping them retain their licenses. The team is also specialised in personal injury and family law affairs.


Based in Concord, the attorneys have appeared in courts in every county in New Hampshire and at every level of the state's justice system, including numerous appearances before the New Hampshire Supreme Court.

About Cohen and Winters

Back in the summer of 1999, Jonathan Cohen and Andrew Winters met in Concord while studying for the Bar and quickly made a connection.


Both were new to the area – Jon from western Massachusetts and Andrew from the suburbs of Washington, D.C. They were both preparing for their new positions as staff attorneys at the New Hampshire Public Defender, which was scheduled to start after they completed the Bar Examination.


 They found that they shared a passion for fighting to ensure justice for the disadvantaged and needy.


 Both Jonathan and Andrew prospered, taking their academic knowledge from law school and blending it with the kind of court skills that can only be learned from seasoned trial lawyers who mentor new attorneys at the Public Defender.

 After several years Cohen and Winters left the high caseloads of the public defender to enter private practice. Each worked for other law firms learning the skills required for civil litigation. In 2009, they reconnected to form Cohen & Winters.
